Build your creation
Students have had fun creating structures in Minecraft this week. Max and Marcus (Year 5) built a pyramid and Poppy and Felicity (Year 4) decided to build 'Mrs Barker'.
Once their structure was complete it was exported from Minecraft and uploaded into the app '3D Builder'. Students can also build 3D objects directly in this app if they wish.
The app allows the students to rotate the image and view it as a 3D object. It is then saved as a file (.stl) that can be printed in our 3D printer

Print and Review
Students were excited to see their creation taking shape in the 3D printer. Once printed it was then time to review and evaluate their model. Marcus found slight gaps in the wall of the pyramid and the girls found that the 3D Mrs barker couldn't stand up!
How could they change the original structure to correct these issues?
This is such a great activity for exploring problem solving.
